Pronounced Elize, like Belize.
Elize is a journalist and audio producer based in the Bay Area, who draws inspiration from a long lineage of Armenian female storytellers. Through her journalism, writing, and cultural work, Elize enjoys documenting the histories and contributions of West Asian and North African immigrant diasporas on the United States, as well as preserving their cultural legacy around the world.

Most recently, she has reported and produced numerous stories and full length episodes for "On Shifting Ground," an nationally syndicated international news show produced by World Affairs and KQED. She has also reported for KQED, the SF NPR affiliate.

Before returning to the Bay, she worked as an Associate Producer for the California Journalism Award winning podcast, "Border City," coproduced by the San Diego Union Tribune and LA Times Studios.

She has also ghost written several memoirs, most notably for Armenian-American academic Dennis Papazian and Armenian-American activist and multidisciplinary artist Anoush Ter Taulian. When she's not writing, she's cooking and hanging out with her cats.
